Order of PAT Testing - What We Actually Do:


  1. Visual Inspection - appliance, plug and lead
  2. Open every plug (unless sealed) - check wiring
  3. Check every fuse - replace if incorrect rating
  4. Tighten every screw terminal
  5. Tighten cord grip
  6. Check lead for damage
  7. Test continuity of protective earth
  8. Test insulation and leakage
  9. Record all results including test values digitally
  10. Email results and certificate within 12 hours
