Order of PAT Testing - What We Do in Medway


  1. Visual Inspection - appliance, plug and lead for damage
  2. Open every plug - unless sealed - check wiring correct
  3. Check every fuse - 3A, 5A, 13A - replace if wrong
  4. Tighten every screw terminal
  5. Tighten cord grip
  6. Check lead for damage
  7. Test continuity of protective earth - Class 1
  8. Test insulation & leakage
  9. Record all results digitally with actual values
  10. Email results, PAT certificate within 12 hours
